Both parents are Cookies-line plants, and Gelato #45 is a Sunset Sherbet and Thin Mint Cookies cross. Swerve placed 78 in the Gold Line, the house's premium range, and the plain number of a name gives nothing away, which suits a strain best judged in the jar.
Sources describe a cookie-dough base lifted by blueberry and a flicker of citrus, with an earthy, lavender-sweet undertone that hangs on the palate. The nose is powerful enough that growers advise serious air filtration.
Users describe an energetic, euphoric opening from the #33 side that eases into the deeper relaxation of #45. It reads as a strain for winding down without switching off, sociable early and settled later.
The breeder calls 78 very easy to grow and suitable for newcomers. Plants stay short and bushy, grow fast and with plenty of vigour, and finish in about 64 to 68 days. Reported indoor yields run from 300 g/m² up to 450 g/m² in ideal conditions, and growers say it copes well outdoors in temperate climates.
