warlock-serious-seeds
Warlock by Serious Seeds

Long before the seeds were easy to come by, Dutch coffeeshop regulars in the 1990s were asking for Warlock by name.

It began as the flagship of Magus Genetics, an F1 of Afghani and Skunk. Serious Seeds later took on the Magus collection and now keeps the line.

Open a jar and the smell arrives first: sweet and strong with a sour, fresh-fruit edge, read by growers as grapefruit, lime and pine over an old-school skunk base. The smoke itself is gentler than the room it fills.

For an indica-leaning plant, the effect sits mostly in the head. The breeder calls it very strong and active, suited to creative work or meditation, while users find the body relaxation deepens with dose, and medical users report it for stress and everyday aches from late afternoon onwards.

Plants stay low and thick through a three to five week veg, then lengthen in bloom and build large, compact heads with very few small leaves, so trimming goes quickly. Serious Seeds gives 8 to 9 weeks indoors, 400 to 500 g/m² and a mid to late October harvest outside, as the white pistils ripen to dark pink. Plan for carbon filtration: growers report the odour is hard to hide.

Awards

3rd place, Bio, High Times Cannabis Cup, Amsterdam 1997 (entered by the Bluebird coffeeshop)

Lineage

Afghani x Skunk (F1)

Type

Mostly indica hybrid

Seed type

Feminised (6 seeds) or regular (11 seeds)

Flowering time

8 to 9 weeks indoors; mid to late October outdoors (breeder figure)

Yield

400 to 500 g/m² indoors (breeder figure)

Indoor/outdoor

Indoor and outdoor

Terpenes

Myrcene, pinene, caryophyllene (reported)

THC

20%, CBD 1% (breeder figure)

Serious Seeds was founded in Amsterdam in 1995 by the breeder Simon, who keeps a short list of lines such as AK-47 and White Russian bred true.

Collector's notice: this pack is sold as a sealed souvenir and novelty item for adults aged 18 and over.
