Khash is an Afghanica Indica cannabis that can be grown both indoors and outdoors in areas where cannabis cultivation is legal. Afghan Selection gives flowering times of between 8-11 weeks as a guide, and the plants adopt a bushy Indica stature producing larger than average yields.
Khash is named after the district where it was found in the Northern-Eastern province of Badakhshan in the foothills of the Hindukush mountains.  
The Khash area was once a popular stop-off point along the hiking trail that leads from mainland Europe to India. Hippies and pilgrims would stop off in Khash to sample some of the fine hashish and opium that was found there.
